I really liked Lumberjanes #1. I've seen some people ragging on it for aiming for a certain audience, or the dialogue being too corny or other complaints I don't agree with.

But I think it's just straight up good comic book-ing and these folks know how to tell a story using pictures and words. Like, the opening action scene and it's brief preamble wouldn't need a bit of it's dialogue to function as a clear sequence with good clarity in people's emotions and actions. Even the animals faces express to a real good degree. Not that I don't enjoy someone paraphrasing Little Red Riding Hood to adorn the visual story-telling (my buzz word du jour)

Check dat clear line of guiding the eye. Natural downward movement of the eye reading in that Z pattern gives such weigh to the fox creature pouncing on top of Molly. Love it.
