Hi Everyone,

I've been a CBR reader/lurker for a long time and wanted to introduce myself and share some of my art. Thanks for taking the time to look!

Nice work John. Thats some silky smooth linework and hatching. Would you mind me asking what kindof pencil you use?

Ask away! I love talking gear.

I mostly use either a Staedtler 980 lead holder and/or a Staedtler 925 0.5mm mechanical pencil.

Aside from traditional super heroes, I love drawing GI Joe.

Are you doing it all, including the coloring?

There's some good variety here. Spiderman looks lithe and limber. Thor looks stern. That's a damned fine Daredevil. I'm not a He-Man fan, but I like your rendering of him. Other than lips and nose, I like Lady Jaye, particularly her poses. Not a fan of the background for Cobra Commander, but the blue coloring pops. That's nice.

Yep, one stop shop. Pencils, inks, and colors. Thanks for the feedback!

Are you a professional artist? And what kind of graphic tablet do you use? What gear goes with that? Pens...?

Hey, Selena! I'm not a professional comic artist, but I do illustration and design for a living.

I use a Wacom Intuos 4 for coloring, but I do everything else traditionally. I use the standard stylus for the Wacom, but I'll switch the nibs between the regular one and the softer felt one depending on what I'm rendering (I probably don't need to switch, but it makes me feel like I'm getting some value out of the extra nibs).

I have four 11x17 art prints now available for ordering! (I can only show three at a time here, though.) Each full color print comes on 11x17 glossy card stock and is suitable for framing. They will ship flat, safely and securely. Each print is only $15, with a s&h rate of $8 for up to 5 prints.

Please visit this page (http://www.johnjett.com/prints.html) to order or click on one of the thumbnails below. Thanks!

Sketch cards inspired by my new favorite movie. The only thing more fun than watching the Guardians of the Galaxy is drawing them.

Very dynamic art!

Your coloring could use some work, but otherwise, you're really talented, and the Daredevil drawing in particular is great; very powerful, sharp linework!

Fantastic art. I really enjoy your Spiderman and Thor pieces especially. Also, I'm a big fan of the coloring on all the military themed pieces. Excellent work. Do you have any sequentials?
