What makes you laugh? From a hilarious movie, to a joke, to a funny anecdote. What has made you guffaw and gave you a good belly laugh? List them here.

I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off the other day. It still makes roll on the floor in laughter every time.

African-American and English humor routinely makes me all of the above. Everything from (classic!) BET Comic View to Fawlty Towers. These two groups of people make me laugh like no other. I actually have dreams of moving to England solely to be lashed to pieces by the sarcastic and acerbic wit. lol

Other things can make me laugh as well, but this is what came to my mind first.

The Naked Gun movies. 30 Rock. Parks and Recreation. Bill & Ted. All kinds of things, really. The only comedy I don't particularly like is stand-up.

I tend to enjoy raunchier, extreme, probably-juvenile humor. Stuff that would most likely get me banned if I posted any links.

Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon, Bill Cosby, Dana Carvey, Chris Rock, Bill Murray, Steve Martin, Johnny Carson, Lucille Ball, Dick Van Dyke, Elon Gold, The Three Stooges...

Nothing is funnier than someone else's misfortune. Or as Mel Brooks put it, "Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die." :D

The fact that there are thirty-something radio channels to choose from on the FM, and 25 of them are Top 40 format. That makes me laugh out loud, yet also cry a little on the inside.

Your face!!

No seriously, whenever anyone counters something with "your face" it always makes me laugh.

Aside from your face, I laugh a lot at funny jokes. Even the jokes that are not quite funny.

In comics I laugh at when the writer is obligated to have Wolverine get beaten up in the story. Because he recovers so quickly anyway.

There's a pre Doctor Who Stephen Moffat comedy called Coupling which is absolutely Hilarious in a NSFW way.

Comedians like Bill Hicks and Stewart Lee I find Hilarious.

Evelyn Waugh, Terry Pratchett, Jasper Fforde, and Robert RAnkin for various reasons.

Wedge Antilles

Chris Farley in any movie.

My Cousin Vinny (the movie, I don't have a cousin named Vinny)

Juvenile humor, but not really the gross-out stuff. Just good ol' slapstick. The Three Stooges always crack me up.

My three favorite sitcoms always do the job for me, too. Seinfeld, Home Improvement and Wings. No matter how many times I've seen all those episodes, they still make me laugh.

Back in 2011 or 2012, before I ditched the streaming option on Netflix, I watched the first two series of that and could not stop laughing. It felt like a British Seinfeld, with a little Friends mixed in, then later I read both of those shows were heavy influences. I've still yet to see the third and fourth series, but those first two were great.

But my favorite British comedy is Fawlty Towers. "The Germans." Nothing more needs to be said. LOL!

Just watch the original The Office and Extras. Pretty much everything Ricky Gervais does makes me laugh. He's absolutely hilarious.

Lots of things...

British humor, sight gags, Mel Brooks, sounds, mishearing something. Something my mom says will make us both crack up. Same with a coworker. Pet stories. We tend to have silly pets in our family so there's always a new one.

I don't scout the Apple Mac boards just for news. The sarcasm on some boards leaves me in tears. Still giggling several years later over a poor drunken person who put an SD card in the CD-Rom slot (both used to be next to other in iMacs) and someone commented with "I guess SD stands for stupid dumba**" Mac users can get so cranky and sarcastic > (raises hand.) <

Jokes about history: for example, this series of images just cracked me up. (http://imgur.com/a/rj75V) I will never look at school committee voting the same way.

@Paradox - yup.
