Empowered/Elissa Megan Powers (http://www.comicvine.com/empowered/4005-55760/) - The Sexy Superhero with the fragile Supersuit

vs

Halo/Sydney Scoville (http://grrlpowercomic.com/) - Rookie Superhero with an Attitude and a whole lot of insecurities

1. In-Character Arena Battle

2. Standard, Bloodlusted Arena Battle

Which one wins?

1. No idea, as I don't know how Powers usually fights.

2. Quickdraw. Both have energy blasts. Neither seem to have any kind of special durability that would stand up to the energy blasts of the other (Sydney has her force field, but can't DO anything once that's up; from the list of things Powers has withstood, she hasn't been hit by anything remotely on the level of Sydney's PPO).

...I would give Sydney the edge here, as the PPO doesn't even have to HIT Powers to cause damage, but Sydney also has an issue just 'shooting right off the bat' (safety catch). Which would normally give Powers an edge, as she's winning the quickdraw...but apparently she's a horrid shot.

So, sometimes Powers misses until Sydney fires and then it's over. Sometimes Powers hits Sydney before she fires.

I've seen Sydney use her Pseudopod outside her shield while shielded, but I don't remember if she has used her PPO.

Can Emp even use her energy projection abilities on purpose? I honestly can't remember.

I only read the first volume, but in it she can, only her aim wasn't that good. She might have gotten better in later volumes.

Sydney was able to quickly switch to Shield after firing off a PPO, but not fast enough to keep from getting mildly sandblasted from the backwash (http://grrlpowercomic.com/comics/2013-11-11-GP0168.jpg).

Oh give her motivation and she gets rather more effective (she may have issues with pinpoint accuracy, but her 'wide-beam' option deals with human-scale opposition real good).

(Now if only I had a chance to properly binge-read Grrl Power)
