But only one Amazon.
Diana is one that happens to be an Amazon Zeus fathered. I doubt he came across her on accident.
Sure. That said, we don't have any real glimpse into why he was there.
As for Diana, do we have any reason to believe he trained anyone except her?
She also did not have to. Hera took care of that.
I see. From that perspective, have we actually seen any of that sort of things from the gods we've seen?
You said "special power". Ares pretty clearly raises an army of fallen soldiers from throughout time to fight The First Born's army.
Have I misunderstood something?
I believe you may be incorrect. Have you read the entire run?
One guy's take -
Ares had long since grown weary of being the god of war. Ares was still perfectly comfortable being a: sun god/ruler of gods.
Guys, I believe there may be a more simple how/why to killing and assuming mantles.
Isn't that because we would have to alter what was clearly the creative team's approach to wind up with the details you are interested in?
I don't think so. I think it is just saying it is a valid artistic approach.
If each reader will find what they want in the art created with that approach, whole different question.
I didn't want it to seem like I was taking anyone to task. This is just a textbook "No one is happy about the peanut butter on their chocolate" situation.
Sure. Great runs have come out of more awkward transition periods.
While this is going to skate pretty closely to trying to dictate the discussion, do the fans of the way Diana's background has been laid out have to question the "why" as far as other readers wanting...
Cliff does deserve a chicken dinner for those pages.
If the line "My Brother" did not end that scene, I guess I could try to see it that way. Otherwise, who is that line for? There is no one but Diana there to hear it.
What is your take on Diana's lines once she lets him fall into the abyss?
I was also a quite impressed by the fact that Diana would not even give up on her brother after everything we've seen.
You are a few years too late.
I think that depends on the reader's point of view.
You could just pick up the Doctor 13 mini. Same creative team/Possibly more brilliant story.
Seeing women as superior=Hating men?
While we would have to veer off topic, do you actually feel like they "hate" men?
Shoes. It's about the shoes.
Why would they want to keep the island secret? Isn't there a pretty likely reason?
