    Default Gil Kane's Savage

I am looking for the one and only issue of Gil Kane's His Name Is Savage; featuring his character Savage fighting a cyborg trying to take over the world or something. I remember reading it long ago; it was in a magazine format and possibly one of the most entertaining comics I ever read. I'm having trouble finding it and I'm wondering if it's been collected anywhere or if anyone is selling it. Please let me know thanks!
There was a time above... a time before... there were perfect things... diamond absolutes. But things fall... things on earth. And what falls... is fallen. In the dream, it took me to the light. A beautiful lie.

It was originally published in 1968 by Kane himself; the cover title on it was "His Name Is Savage".

Fantagraphics reprinted it in 1982, with the cover title changed to "Gil Kane's Savage". That's probably the version you remember. Not sure where to find it, just keep combing eBay. Look for both versions of the title.

I have copies of both. Found the '68 version at a comic vendor at a permanent flea market and the '82 in a magazine box at a local comic shop. Both within the last 3 years or so and I don't think I paid over $5 for either. I've seen the 80's Fantagraphics version a few times since then at shows and shops, so it's out there, but neither has been collected elsewhere.
