There are many ways to kill. One can stab a knife in your guts; take away your bread; deprive you of the cure for your illness; put you in a miserable housing; torture you to death with work; take you to war; etc.
Only a few of these are prohibited in our country.

There came a time when the name edhopper died! The final moment came with the fatal release of indescribable power--which tore every post that bore the name edhopper asunder--split it linto a new identity, and filled CBR with the blinding death flash of it's destruction! In the end there was a new user name, spinning slow and barren, clean of all that had gone before, adrift in the fading sounds of binary thunder...THEN----THERE WAS KIRBY101

Now that I see the splash page, I had forgotten that Gerry Conway started it. I always think of it as a great run done by Wolfman & Colan

The first issue was actually plotted by Stan and Roy with Conway only scripting ater the art was done. But he wrote the next 5 until Marv took over.

Reading the narrative on the headstone, I automatically hear Vincent Price's voice..

It's amazing to think how young the writers were that Stan was hiring to take over when he mostly stuck to being the EIC. One of Gerry Conway's earliest works for Marvel is one of my all time favorite Doom stories in Astonishing Tales #8 and he was only 18 at the time. I think he worked for DC for a while before that. His bio page says he started writing professionally at age 16.

I also see that Archie Goodwin wrote issues 3 & 4 and Gardner Fox wrote Tomb of Dracula 4 & 5 before Wolfman started writing it with #6
