Idc about the integration honestly. We accepted Shadowcat with time travel powers in what's considered best FOXMEN movie. They can do whatever for all I care. I just don't like wen ppl diss X-Men to uplift something else

No, forget the X-Men, Mr. Feige: the first family is more important and they haven't even had a had good movie yet. Do them justice first then you play around with the mutants to your heart's content.
Given how the X-men still have some movies in development, I would be okay with this. I'm willing to be patient to see Feige and Marvel Studios tackle the X-men. Between Deadpool, Dark Phoenix, Gambit, and X-Force, I think there's already a process underway for developing some quality X-men movies. The same can't be said for the Fantastic Four. Other than the announcement of a Dr. Doom movie at SDCC (which Feige should totally support), there has been no real movement with Marvel's first family. As much as I love the X-men, I think the F4 need Feige's touch more than they do. Take care of them first and then work the X-men into the mix.

While I'm still of two minds about the X-Men going to Disney, I'm 100% behind the FF going to Disney. They need Marvel's first family, and the FF desperately needs competent filmmakers at the helm.

To me, it seems like you need to get 2 things right in any FF adaptation:
-They have to be a family
    -They have to be explorers

The Tim Story FF films got the first part nailed down, but they completely fell on their face in regards to the second. They didn't actually do much in those movies, though I will admit that the Silver Surfer (the character, not the movie) was awesome: that shot of him coming out the other side of that skyscraper still gives me goosebumps.

Whether it's a retro throwback or a modern-set film, Marvel needs to put the FF on the fast track as soon as the ink dries. The X-Men are doing well and don't need to be meddled with right now.

No one was dissing the X-Men though. They just stated that the FF needs this more as they have never had a good film and it would be easier to introduce them first. While the integration into the MCU would be great for the X-Men, it's absolutely vital for the Fantastic Four.

Try Marvel Two-in-One out December 20th! (next week!)

Also Phase 4 of the MCU being about the Homecoming of the FF seems almost poetic

Even if they agree on a deal it wont happen until after AT&T Time Warner is adjudicated. Everyone Ive read believes that Justice doesnt really have a case to stop the AT&T Time Warner deal and that it will eventually go through. Then theyd have to decide whether to try to stop Disney Fox (proabably not because neither company owns CNN) or let it happen. So in that time all the movies Fox is producing will most likely continued and the ones up for release will be released. There may come a point where some Fox projects are finished and or released by Marvel Studios but this is all still a long ways away.

Oh I beg to differ: The Tim story movies nailed it down the family dynamic on a superficial level but it still never felt they were a real surrogate family that liked each other and it doesn't help that there's some serious miscasting going on( Who buys Jessica Alba as a scientist? lol).

Don't get me wrong: it wasn't perfect by any stretch, but I bought into the dynamics enough to think that they genuinely knew/cared for each other.

I agree in that I didn't buy Jessica Alba as a scientist for a nanosecond. And that hyper blue-eye, bleached hair pornstar look they gave her in the second movie was atrocious.

DealBook Briefing: Will Disney’s Bob Iger Ever Step Down?

I’m hearing that Rupert Murdoch is worried that if Mr. Iger were to leave in 2019, his replacement might not be as invested in the combined company and the various people who would join Disney.

Of course, staying longer also means that Mr. Iger wouldn’t be able to run for president, as some expect him to. Cue gossip among media executives about whether this is a power play by Mr. Murdoch …

What's the likelihood of Comcast getting the Fox assets at this point? and even if Comcast gets the Fox assets(which I'm sure that would be a major relief to those Fox X- fans who don't want to see The X-Men become "Disney-fied' and a major disappointment to those FF fans who very simply want a good film for the first family) how long will it take for the merger to be fully implemented.

Wouldn't it be crazy that even if Comcast beats Disney into buying Fox X-Men and Fantastic Four still return to Marvel anyway? It's not going to happen. I'm pretty sure Fox will still retain the rights to Fantastic Four and X-Men even if it gets sold off to another studio but that would be funny in the most absurdist of ways.

Some people are speculating that the X-Men/FF rights are non-transferable, meaning that they either stay with Fox or go back to Marvel/Disney. We'll see if that's the case should that scenario play out, which looks unlikely at this point.
