He's been placed on administrative leave. (Suspended with pay while th investigation is ongoing.) He will not pitch in this series against the M's. (Whish is why I know this.)

How do you guys/gals feel about MLB's actions in regard to domestic violence charges?

I’m all for suspensions if there’s solid evidence. No strike one, no strike two, no appeal, suspend immediately.

Meanwhile, Matt Harvey was traded to the Reds for catcher Devin Mesoraco and cash.

Agreed with this. If you're that A-hole who thinks it's okay to beat up someone or assault someone, you have no place in sports, period. Suspension, and also if you're found out to have a pattern of this or other abuses, full on ban from the sport.

Interesting, why did they trade for Cash?

James Paxton just did an incredible thing. Well, a few things, actually.

    1) He threw a No-Hitter.
    2) 6th in Mariners history.
    3) 1st No-Hitter on the road.
    4) James Paxton's first complete game.
    5) It was a Maddux (Under 100 pitches)
    6) 1st Canadian to throw a No-Hitter in Canada

6a) It was against the team that drafted him. (This isn't amazing, but a fun note)

So that was a fun game!

Did you guys see that the Mets batted out of order in the 1st? How does that happen?

Falls over laughing. Oh god...how, just...what? Must have been a screw up in the lineup cards, but still, that's actually rather funny.

Well, at least they had that happened early instead of in the ninth when the game was on the line.

Yes, that was pretty cool to see.

Also, it was the third no hitter of 2018 and ALL THREE no hitters have occurred in different countries - US, Mexico and now Canada.

Yeah, that is pretty cool. I’m trying to remember the last time we’ve seen three no-hitters this early in a season.

Yeah, that was a pretty neat fun fact. Like, I knew that, but I didn't put it together until I saw it this morning.

Here's one for all you lovers of The Shift.

M's pulled this same move the other week. It worked.

I don't have a problem with the shift, in general. When it gets this extreme, though, I start to take issue with it. I don't think am infielder should be glued to their position with some arbitrary radius or anything, but when the 3rd baseman is in LF or 2nd base, and the 2nd baseman is in shallow RF, it's maybe a step to far?

Robinson Cano of the Mariners got hit by a pitch in his right hand and broke some bones. No word how long he will be out, but Cano said it's severely broken and surgery is likely, but h won;t know until he sees a specialist Tuesday, but it could be a significant amount of time missed.
