Lightbulb My Star Wars/Star Trek Crossover

For those interested please check out my story Galaxy at War

    Summary -

A battle between Republic and CIS fleets during the Clone Wars triggers a subspace rift leaving many of our favorite Star Wars characters stranded in the Star Trek Universe during the Dominion/Federation conflict. How will their presence affect events? Will the Federation Alliance and the Republic emerge victoriously or will the Dominion and CIS under Sith leadership conquer all?

Before I read your story, I'd like to ask a question. Has a crossover ever happened before? I'm only just recently getting into Star Trek and I've been a Star Wars fan forever and a crossover seems obvious. We all know it's never happened in a movie and probably never will but a novel or a comic?

That was very fun! Would you ever think about an original trilogy crossover with the original Star Trek series? That would make it a prequel and a sequel to your story at the same time... fascinating...

Star Trek's done a few crossovers lately since they've been part of IDW: Doctor Who, Planet of the Apes, DC comics etc. however I'm not sure Disney would be onboard with that...

True, to answer Darkseid Is's question there has never been an official crossover between the two properties that I'm aware of. So, I thought why not go nuts and have fun with this (incorporate some Star Trek Legends, semi-canon Star Trek novels material and do some cross property pairings).

I don't think Star Wars has ever crossed over officially with anything. Closest thing may have been Mark Hamill somewhat in character on the Muppet Show.

There was that video game with the digital prequel comic.

I do not know what that is about.
But I do suddenly remember Vader, Yoda, and Starkiller showing up in one of the Soulcaliburs.

That's what I was thinking about. Force Unleashed characters were included as unlockables and they made a non-canon comic somewhere to explain how they crossed over into the Soulcalibur world.

Not really crossovers but the early Marvel comics certainly had their share of characters that sort of came across as pop culture references-Jaxxon the rabbit was sort of a riff on bugs bunny, and the Don-Wan Kihotay character was obviously inspired by Don Quixote; although that's a lot like the films themselves, as the films of course have taken a lot of inspiration from Westerns, samurai stories, old sci-fi etc.

    ....and then there's this oddity......
