Default POLL: What Is YOUR Definitive, Visual Version Of Batman, Across All Media?

What Is YOUR Definitive, Visual Version Of Batman, Across All Media?

When someone says or writes the name "Batman," which version of the Dark Knight do you see in your mind?

THREAD: POLL: WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITIVE VERSION OF BATMAN, ACROSS ALL MEDIA?
Since the poll separates Frank Miller's Batman from David Mazzucchelli's Bataman, is this poll supposed to account for purely a visual distinction?

Cause thematically + character/personality/voice; Year One's Batman (which I would choose as my Definitive version I both see and "here") is both Miller & Mazzucchelli's Batman.
Not one or the other, the way the poll forces you to separates them.

Unless this poll is just looking for a definitive visual interpretation?

Definitely the Batman from B:TAS, JL, and JLU voiced by none other than Kevin Conroy!

In the comics, Jim Aparo, hands down.

In the pre-twitterverse, in the land of no 24-hour news cycle, he was the most prolific and definitive Batman artist, on both solo and team books.

In my opinion (which is no more or less valid than anyone's), no one has done it better for so long.

And I agree with FN Spider-Man above: Kevin Conroy is the voice.

Not a fan of the current Marvel or DC universes, but still trying a few books.

This poll division is weird, cuz I'm sure they meant "visually" the one in your head, but as it is Bruce Timm Batman is gonna win in a landslide.

Which, coincidentally, is my definitive visual of Batman so maybe I'm not helping matters...

Stupid style over content, visually fixated poll.

My favourites are Greg Rucka's Batman and Grant Morrison's Batman. I don't care who was drawing him at the time.

To be absolutely fair, Bob Kane does have a Batman look all of his own.

Voice and characterization obviously the DCAU Kevin Conroy version, hands down. Although I prefer the new 52 costume. So, new comics visual, DCAU everything else.

DCAU Batman was the obvious choice (and a whole bunch of people agreed with me) but a close second for me was Marshall Rogers (which really should be Steve Englehart/Marshall Rogers).
