They made Mystique have some odd love triangle with Charles and Eric, the latter they've said they're focusing quite heavily on in the new movie.
The only time Mystique was strong was in X2, that's the only time I can really recall it and even then she was used as sexual canon fodder a lot.
I used to think Storm was the only female character Singer didn't shove into a relationship, until those deleted scenes from DOFP.
I mean they tried to make it seem like she was with all the 'mutant and proud' stuff but instead of giving her self confidence they just made really angsty.
She should be Mystique from X1-X2 after all that time with Magneto but they're obviously going a different route now, full of angst and moral struggles. So basically a whole new character they've painted blue and called Mystique. bleh.

Quicksilver scene listed as one of the best film scenes of the year.
"This interlude is a sustained moment of playfulness in an otherwise fairly serious superhero epic, and a reminder that the X-Men movies distinguish themselves by toying with the idiosyncrasies and possibilities of their universe’s vast array of mutants, not by getting into a building-destruction contest."
