He probably does a lot of damage to be honest. He can play the politics game and get protection from someone like Joffrey (who has a few screws loose himself) in exchange for wreaking havoc on his enemies. Meanwhile he spends a while with the keys to the kingdom and he concocts a plan to kill everyone. The dude is dangerous. And his scale isn't being considered in this rumble.

Joker goes against a human is far beyond every human in GoT on every level. There is no one on that show (book series) that has even a fraction of the intelligence and reasoning skills as Batman. And Joker can generally keep up with him.

lancerman beat me to it. Oh well, guess I'll just expand on what he said.

It really depends on where he starts. If it's out in the wild then Hiromi is right. Flip it around and place him in a city. Like Kingslanding, then why should he hide when he can play out in the open. There is no batman there, and there are plenty of people that are idiotic enough to try and exploit his talents. Due to his unique look, he is going to draw attention to himself. With his advance weaponary, people will probaly think he has magic. There are going to be a lot of folks curious about him, and it will allow him to meet people in high places.

Example since he looks so strange, someone tries to mug him. He kills them with joker gas, as well as everyone around him. He sits there and waits for the local authority to show up. They arrest him, and words of his deed spread. His victims die in such a bizzare way that he will draw a huge interest. Before you kill him, if your a person in high power and you hear of this guy taking out a group of people in such a strange fashion, with such ease. Your going to wonder how he did it. Since war has started, You figure that you may be able to use it against your enemies. Some will see him for who he is(Lord Vary). Most will fall for his charm. He has very high chance of being taken in. Considering that the most prize possession in westeros are dragons. Prize because they are the most devasting weapon out there. That's the allure of the Joker.

That's assuming chemistry works the same in Westeros, which isn't a given, looking at the green fire goo.

Based on what, exactly? Whatever big stuff goes down at the end of the series, he'll probably be far away watching through a telescope, eating popcorn and cracking jokes about it.
You don't really dodge extinction events by moving away. Plus the thread is about the Joker in Westeros,n not the Joker chilling on another planet and looking at Westeros. He'd have to deal with Dragons and ice zombies sooner or later.

The Joker has been caught without Batman getting into it before.
And Batman isn't mentally very well equipped to handle the Joker anyway. His morals get in the way.
If the Joker goes up against a couple of people who are of above average intelligence, and who don't give a rat's ass about hostages and the like, or about throwing him in prison, he's not going to last very long unles he dials down his usual MO by a lot.

Joker might not be on Bruce's physical level, but he's sufficiently Comic Book villain level to take on normal goons by the boatload, IIRC.

Not to mention that he could just choose to go to a head of state and offer his services directly ala Melisandre, those guys that cut off Jaime's hand, or Ser Gregor. It's not like the ruling class of Westeros doesn't have an appreciation for conspicuously evil retainers, especially ones that will revolutionize chemical warfare and have enough charisma to convince foreign nations to make him their diplomat before.

Wildfire is hinted to be magic rather than chemistry, I believe, though it doesn't seem much different than green burning napalm in practice.

Jaime shoves a sword into his side, or Jon Snow beats the living hell out of him and burns the body.

No, they just shoot him full of arrows and take his corps to a Maester to investigate. His Joker immunity doesn't work.

Before or after taking a bullet to the face? I'm willing to bet that would be seriously disorienting even through a helm, which neither of them tend to wear in non-war settings.

Not to mention that they don't normally run in circles where they're likely to run into the Joker doing something they'd find objectionable until after he'd had enough time to set up a power base of some sort, seeing as how they're not cops or goons.

That being said, I dunno that they would be able to beat Joker in direct combat considering how low key ASoIAF is compared to the DCU. Clownface might not be the toughest guy in his neighborhood, but even pansies tend to take apart crowds of special forces operatives while aim dodging gunfire while Jaime is a dude who hates normal archers because he has no counter for them in direct combat.

Drunkern Kid hit the nail on the head. Outside of his prep being way crazier, Joker is actually on a higher level of physicality than anyone I've seen in the show, with the exception of like two guys maybe for strength and that one Archer lady for speed and skill. He will take apart any group of soldiers that comes his way. And I'm pretty sure Ramsey would love to pal around with the guy, to name an example.

I guarantee that Jaime Lannister could take the Joker in a fight, with or without his hand. I'd say Jon could too.

Even discounting his crazier feats (repeatedly trouncing Booster Gold or going hand to hand against Aquaman, for example) Joker does things like landing a headbutt on R'as Al Ghul while in a straitjacket and shooting 3 cops before they could react, so Jaime and Jon would need feats a lot better than anything I remember from them to stand a chance against him.

When Joker killed Jason Todd, was that in straight combat or was Todd handicapped in some way?

    Pretty much.

No one in Westeros is interested in playing Joker's game or showing him that "our way works" or whatever. They'll just put an arrow through his skull and be done with it.

You mean like all the thousands of cops with far superior resources than anyone in Westeros but still can never find him, get trounced with ease whenever they do get into combat with him, and have no philosophical qualms with killing him in the middle of a crime?

Remember, the Bat Family are among the few people on the planet who *choose* not to kill the Joker. Everyone else simply *can't.*

Unless the Joker is in some remote wilderness, he'll make it to civilization. The guy's a survivor, he may not be the strongest, but he's tough and has survived stuff no ordinary person should. It's practically his M.O. Like other's have said he can take out normal and even savvy combatants fairly well. In Death of the Family recently he tore through normal cops like they were swiss cheese when he wanted to be scary, on unarmed prowess alone. Sure a Batman level martial artist will take him down- Jaime (w/hand), Jon Snow, Sir Gregor (god forbid) will take him out, but Joker doesn't engage foes that will kill him directly unless he has the upper hand. He'll cause A LOT of trouble, like other posters have said. I'm sure Joker will pick up a sword, for giggles- that's a fun image

I thought things like Joker immunity didn't count in Rumbles?

Anyway, hiding... Gotham City is massively larger than all of Westeros's cities put together. Good luck hiding.
