    I will say this

It doesn't make sense to me, but I think Jinder is getting an opportunity

not that he's going to win, but its all in how he performs in that match

I like that they're giving Mahal an opportunity, but why a world title match? Why not just give him a midcard push with so time to show his stuff, and if he shows he can handle it, then give him a title? As it is right now, they're just throwing him into the deep end, possible to get Orton over since they know he's a boring face champion.

I still feel there will be a swerve in the storyline and he's not the "real" contender, but an underdog heel scenario could work.

He will have a decent match with Orton then get a solid midcard push.

It's weird but the push that this one and done match will get help him.

Mahal is a crap wrestler who will give Orton a shit match. LOL!!!!

It'll make Jinder look bad. It'll make Orton seem lame duck as possible. It'll make the WWE title look as important as the European title.

The only good thing to come out of this will be that the AJ vs Owens feud will most likely be the main event feud. Which is a good thing for Owens, and a great thing for the US title. Owens should win that match, and AJ should some how immediately begin a feud to get that belt off Orton.

Some were trying to compare this to Juice Robinson(CJ Parker's) NJPW push. Difference is that Juice started over in the NJPW dojo, has become a very good Wrestler(not great), and has held his own. Not to mention he's quite over with the crowd. He's been slowly built up over the last year to the point that when he finally got a big win against a big champ in Naito people bought it. Fans were excited for it. Thus we'll get a match that will hopefully make Juice look great in a losing effort. Which will make him even more over in the eyes of the fans for his performance, and will continue his journey as a rising star.

Jinder don't have none of that.

This is Vince fucking with fans, while at the same time trying to play to the fanbase in India.

WWE marks try to pretend Workrate doesn't matter, but it does.

This gif is more important than I thought for this situation, because I'm sure Haitch had that same look when told they were pushing Jinder Mahal.

Black tights, keep the beard. And Solomon's hair.

Gives you two built in wager matches.

Was that the same look, he gave when the Chinese signee in the Mania Battle Royale.

Like you and many have said, they are going after a market. It's good business. I kind of doubt we see Juicy Jinder as the world champion.
