You know what would really turn this whole thing on its head, Game of Thrones style?

That Mon-El is actually Superman's son, from a less distant future, sent to the past by one of his enemies to end up on Daxom, and then, well, had a Jon and Dany moment and discovered his past while in the future.

Kara gave Mon-El a haircut with her heat vision. So I guess she could do shaves too.

All DC CW shows have been renewed for another season.
As for Supergirl, it'll go a bit past the other series season endings due to their hiatus. So, maybe 7-8 episodes still?

Supergirl has 23 episodes this season. 13 have already aired. So doing the math, starting April 16th and ending June 18th, 10 more left for this season.
Supergirl has been renewed for a 4th season. Most likely will get another 22 to 23 episode.

ighly cliched. Nearly every episode has a completely lame MacGuffin!

Violates DC Comics canon at the sake of storytelling. See S2’s “Supergirl Lives.”

    Impractical issues involving romantic relationships (Kara/Jimmy; Kara/Winn; Kara/Mon-El; Kara/Omar; Kara/Guy-in-Cubile-22; etc.).

Attempts to appease a black audience while simultaneously depicting obvious writing flaws (M’gann M’orzz just so happens to chose a black woman form to compensate as a possible romantic interest for J’onn!). The comics & cartoons has her depicted with Caucasian likeness.https://www.regionaler-jobverbund.de/

IE the TV show is it's own thing and shows some originality by putting its own spin on things while still keeping the core concepts. Such as Supergirl standing for hope, kindness, and compassion. DC Comics violates its own canon
for the sake of storytelling so you can't fault the TV show for that. And what is bad about appealing to people who aren't white, single males? It's not the 1950s anymore. Who is Omar?

Making her the "Wonder Woman" of the Arrow-verse, Barry the "Superman", and Ollie the "Batman".

I'd add that the show has done a great job of creating an iconic version of Supergirl even though the character has had some very differing runs in her history. (Earth Angel, Mae/Matrix, etc). They somehow latched onto the core of the character (hope and compassion) and built a great universe and playground for her.
One that reflects a real world in all it's varieties and flavors.

Yes, but Wonder Woman just stole Superman's act. So Supergirl is reclaiming it for the House of El.
I was impressed by all the effects and action scenes this episodes. Good to know the crew just didn't go on a 9 week vacation.
It was nice that we are given some set-up this episode as to the condition of Myr’nn so him going berserk next episode doesn't come out of nowhere.

Lots of cool toys in this one. The exploding toy jets, the fire breathing tanks, the giant robot dinosaur. And a life size mint in package Supergirl action figure. I collect action figures and would love to have one of those for myself.

They're really sticking by those cape straps.

My theory for the reason behind this is they are using capes made out of leather instead of the previously live action capes made of cloth. Or in the case of Man of Steel a CGI cape. The leather is a lot heavier than cloth
so they want a method that makes it easier to attach the cape. I saw some set photos of Tyler in costume but minus the cape that was probably a dress rehearsal. The only when there is actual filming the cape is attached.
Melissa has a smaller cape but she still has to wear a corset that the cape is attached to. I guess they went with leather instead of cloth because it looks better and is more durable.
