About time there was a thread for this.

Fantastic issue. Probably the best comic being put out right now. Simply outstanding.

Love this book and American Vampire. Love or hate his Batman, Snyder is a talented writer.

This is always a quality read and issue 8 was one of the best. That said, I have no idea how they're going to wrap up the whole story in 2 issues.

Exactly. I wondering how it'll do it as well. I'm really hoping Snyder can bring it home after Lemire sadly could not with his mini-series.

In my experience, the people who bash Snyder base it solely on his Batman book and don't know the writer outside of that book. Like you said, love or hate his Batman, there's no doubt that his creator owned work is great. I love American Vampire, I loved Severed (along his Batman and Swampy, of course), but I think The Wake might be my favorite thing Snyder has written.

I'm confident that whether or not it wraps up nicely or leaves room for more stories, that the story will have a satisfying conclusion. If it's anywhere near the great "ending" we got for the first half, we're in for a treat.

I though Trillium had a great ending.
