True. I want a full Sailor Moon transformation with like 20 seconds at least.

I like that art style. She has longer hair and a more feminine look to her, something I feel the recent comics have abandoned for all the wrong reasons. I've always had a soft spot for anime and I'm disappointed that Marvel hasn't pursued this avenue more aggressively. But given the proclivities of their Disney overlords, I can't say I'm too surprised.

I love this look. Even with the short hair and being a casual look, she still looks kinda... glamorous.

Has anyone read the Generations One-Shot? I wasn't sure whether to write this in this thread or the Mar-Vell thread. I liked this story a lot, particularly with the nods to continuity.

    spoilers:
This issue takes place in the time Mar-Vell was in the Negative Zone. I thought it was a good choice since it's early in his career (I think pre-Ms. Marvel Carol), but still with his classic uniform. It also occurred to me that, at any point, he could have clanked his Nega-Bands and brought Rick Jones there (RIP). I like the dynamic between the two. Carol is far more hot-tempered. Mar-Vell was calm and serene, but also a know-it-all (it's possible he had Cosmic Awareness at this point, to be fair). My biggest complaint is I'm not sure the lesson learned for Carol.

I've been following these stories, but this is only the second one I've read. I liked it a lot. But I felt bad at the end when she wanted to reveal who she is before fading away. I haven't read Margaret Stohl's run at all. I'm debating whether to jump back on with Legacy (particularly if I drop one of my regular books). Certainly this was a solid audition since I'm a sucker for continuity, which this issue handled very well.
    end of spoilers

You know - Brie Larson would rock that alternate look in the Captain Marvel movie, just saying. I wish I had a PS4.

I still have yet to read any of the Marvel Legacy books, but that sounds promising Mike. I'm glad to hear it (yes I like Spoilers)

I really liked the issue! Best thing of this run really. Tbh I have red pratically nothing with Mar-Vell, but I like how he was here, contrasting Car-Ell's impulsive personality. And the supporting characters were lesbians, so I liked them too. The ending though felt a bit anti-climatic. I kind of thought they were gonna kiss("I guess I should be straight with you, Mar-Vell" ).

One of the most upsetting thing's I've realized is that there's a lot of people who think that Carol isn't allowed redemption for her role during civil war ii, like she and her teammates in the ultimates and her alpha flight forces and the gaurdians of the galaxy all put their lives on the line for a month and a half fighting off against endless waves of chitauri one after another after another to protect the earth that's like the defintion of her serving her punishment and redeeming herself.

yet to so many Carol haters it's not enough.

    End of rant.

I recognize the flash back scenes. The first 2 are from what would have been issue # 25 of the first Ms.Marvel series. It wasn't published until 1992. Writing by Chris Claremont, art by Mike Vosburg.
The second 2 are from Kurt Busiek's 1998-2000 Ironman run. Issue #18. Co-writers Kurt Busiek and Roger Stern. Art by Sean Chen.
