When I first talked with James I'd read some of the very newest [Brian Michael] Bendis stuff and I was like, "What do you think?" And he was like, "Don't read any more!"

Ha, love it! My thoughts exactly. That quote is out of context of course, but Gunn did go on to say to read DnA if you're gonna read anything, which is cool.

Oh yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing this.
Back from the Phantom Zone... but for how long?

Clearly, Carol Danvers has taken the expression "man up" a little too seriously.

Exactly. I was very happy when I heard Gunn's response as far as what Chris should read. Looking forward to the trailer Monday.

    Bendis GOTG is pretty uninspiring.

Indeed it is. Too bad given these wonderful characters, but I'm glad that James Gunn said do not read those.

Funny thing is, based on the trailers at least, the movie version of Starlord seems a bit closer to Bendis' than DnA's (IMO at least). Course, trailers don't tell the whole story so it's hard to say.
