I thought his voices sounded weak on Black Star, but I had no idea how ill he was. Very sad about this.

I haven't been this struck dumb since Robin Williams, possibly Dwayne McDuffie.

We're at a point where all the influences on what we like and do are leaving. Do we have the power to do the same? Are we already, and just lack the distance of history?

That's some ... I'm not even sure there's a word for that. Good on him.

As I said on Facebook, thanks for coming to see us, Starman.

A beautiful voice that will be missed.
Natalie Cole was one of the most under-rated singers of her era. An amazing voice who did fine justice to a musical legacy.

The video for Lazarus is sort of chilling knowing how ill he was and with the news today.

Edit: Just read the post about that video. I guess that was the intent. This all was such a blow, I've known it would happen for awhile but Bowie was one of my all time favorites. Absolutely brilliant.

David Bowie returned to us briefly to give us some new songs before leaving us permanently.
The Gypsies had no home. The Doors had no bass.

Does our reality determine our fiction or does our fiction determine our reality?

Whenever the question comes up about who some mysterious person is or who is behind something the answer will always be Frank Stallone.

There's a starman waiting in the sky...he told us not to blow it, 'cause he knows it's all worthwhile. He told me: "Let the children lose it, let the children use it, let all the children boogie!"."

    May thee RIP, Ziggy.

The Thin White Duke was certainly one of the greats, with Suffragette City being my favorite of his songs.
