    Default Aquaman Appreciation!

    DC Forum Appreciation Thread rules:

    1) No negative comments about the honoree of this thread. It's an appreciation thread, not a non-appreciation one.

    2) No negative discussion about any competitors of the honoree of this thread (i.e. John Stewart in the Hal Jordan thread). No ifs, ands, or buts. Find another non-appreciation thread to do that, just not here.

    3) No negative comments about other versions of the character. For example, if you like the DCU version of Cyborg, but hate the DCnU version (or visa versa), just appreciate the earlier version and keep your comments about the latter to yourself.

Thought I would bring it back since it is gone.

    AQUAMAN ANNUAL #2
    Written by JEFF PARKER
Art and cover by YVEL GUICHET and JASON GORDER
    On sale JULY 30 • 48 pg, FC, $4.99 US • RATED T
During his battle with Hercules, Aquaman unleashed an ancient evil from the days of the Greeks -- so he’s called in Wonder Woman to help him clean up the mess! You can be sure the Queen of the Amazons and the King of Atlantis have plenty to talk about…if they can hear each other over the bloodcurdling screams of the Giant-Born!
"It is wrong to assume that art needs the spectator in order to be. The film runs on without any eyes. The spectator cannot exist without it. It ensures his existence." -- James Douglas Morrison

HELL YEAH. Such an amazing character. I got into Aquaman during the Sub Diego arc and have been a HUGE fan ever since. Love what they are doing with him in the New 52. To see him starring in 2 books brings a huge smile to my face.

His two books are some of the few DC books I am still on board with. Stories & art of consistent quality, about one of my favorite heroes, make me a happy reader.
Top 6 Legionnaires: Wildfire, Timber Wolf, Polar Boy, Shadow Lass, Phantom Girl, Ultra Boy

Not a fan of the current Marvel or DC universes, but still trying a few books.

Aquaman is AWESOME! Screw anyone who still thinks he "sucks."
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I hope they have him fighting and interacting with more mythological figures in his book, the story with Hercules right now is great!Definitely one of my favorite books every month.

Love Aquaman, and love Mera. His title is easily my favorite of the New 52, I love what they're doing with him.
Currently Reading: Aquaman, Batman, Black Widow, Captain America: Steve Rogers, Hal Jordan, Teen Titans, among many others.

Aquaman can be awesome. He just needs a beard. Right now, he's cool.
