Especially since he was shown alive and well at the end.

I was talking about AoA (which, I assume, is what he was talking about). It's entirely possible he could appear in AoA (which is set before he "died") regardless of his status in DoFP.

I heard that he is going to appear in the sequel

In December 2013, director Bryan Singer announced on Twitter that X-Men: Apocalypse will come out in 2016. According to Singer, the film will focus on the origins of the mutant species, will be "more of a First Class sequel", and it will take place in the 1980s. Kinberg, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty are working on the film along with Singer. McAvoy, Fassbender, Hoult, Lawrence, Jackman and Peters will reprise their roles, and Channing Tatum will appear as Gambit. The film is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2016. and the younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm will also appear

Awesome. The more they can keep from DoFP the better. Singer was amazing, and it was one of my favorite Superhero flicks yet.

As for Cyclops, I could take him or leave him, but I'd expect that he will be in the sequel, considering the ending of DoFP and all.

It's a done deal. Both Cyclops and Jean are stated to appear.

Hope they don't offer to give him Batman vs Superman.

I only just noticed your post. I see they're going with the young guys again. I wonder, will they ever use the old guys again? I like that X-team as well, so I'd love to see two timelines going at once. I don't see why it couldn't work either.

It is a shame since First Class is the best of the X-Movies, and I assumed they'd try to integrate that into the new continuity, but no, they're all dead. Fun times.

He jumped ship from X-3 to Superman Returns. It's a joke.

Would have worked if it came before a director was already called up.
