I like Oscar Bazaldua, but Nico Leon was always my first choice to replace Sara when she decided to step down. Both that opening scene and the page of Miles' journey across the world were just really amazing.

Really digging the podcast as well. In regards to who sent him the text, I wouldn't be surprised if it were Maria Hill TBH. I know you're hoping that Bendis doesn't fall back to SHIELD, but honestly I think she's the only person who would be keeping tabs on Miles to that degree.

    He's about 17.

Maria is no longer with SHIELD. Got kicked out in the Steve Rogers series.

Which would make the call from her all the more heartwarming.

That she did. Pleasant Hill was basically the last straw after all the other crap she'd pulled.

Also, going back to Miles, has anyone seen the novel by Jason Reynolds in the bookstore yet?

I know Hill has her (albeit extremely rare) nice moments, but her character and "heartwarming" in the same sentence just doesn't feel right .

I think I saw it at a Costco, and I managed to pick it up from my local library.

Here's a little interview Bendis gave about Miles going forward from Generations, to Spider-Men II, and into the main title.
    https://news.marvel.com/comics/74299...l-hard-knocks/
Apparently we're going to see him "... take life by the horns and try something that no one else in Marvel comics has tried." so it sounds pretty big.

Here's the Spider-Man #235 solicit from the previewsworld leak

    SPIDER-MAN #235 LEG
    (W) Brian Michael Bendis (A) Oscar Bazaldua (CA) Patrick Brown
    SINISTER SIX REBORN ParT 2
    • The mysterious new Iron Spider rolls into Miles Morales' life with the destructive power of the new Sinister Six.
    • Sadly for those close to Miles, it's not just his life that's going to get obliterated.
    Rated T+

I think Bendis confirmed in interviews that he's the organizer for the new Sinister Six.

I've seen it at B&N, Walmart, Target and it's on the Stanford Bookstore's best seller shelf when I visit it when I'm on campus

Bestseller shelf? Awesome. Glad to see Miles taking off the way he has.
