Probably will watch all of these. Boyle is capable of so much genius. It'll be interesting to see the subversive level or lack thereof of some of his other films. In a weird way, he sort of reminds me of like if Garth Ennis and Grant Morrison had a baby or something, which fits because he's Irish.

    The Martian
Great movie, I loved it so much.

    For a Few Dollars More
I liked it, not a great deal, but I liked it.

    The Secret of NIMH
The product is good, it's well made, but I did not enjoy it.

    Prometheus
FUCK THIS MOVIE. When a movie that is supposed to be good is actually worse than Alien: Resurrection (I dislike it, don't hate it) and Alien vs Predator (it's ok, nothing more, nothing less), then... I don't know what is that I need to say about the product.

I really enjoyed that movie, one of my favorites from last year.

That's the general consensus, and my opinion didn't stray away from it.

I guess that means I'm lucky to have never sit through those two movies.

You should have watched 'A Fistful of Dollars' first, which is the prequel. It's much better. So is "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'.

I had access to this film first, and it's fine if you try it as a standalone movie.

Creed, soft spot for boxing movies and a movie well done, perfectly happy with it

Atomic Blonde. Dripping with style, light on story. Fantastic action, especially the stairwell scene.

    Collateral Beauty..

The story and direction was weak but Smith,Nyomi,Mirren and Pena all had scene that were well acted and got me. Choked up. Wish this cast were given a more clever script.

    Alien: Covenant
Better than Resurrection, that instantly makes it better than Prometheus, but it's still blah.

I saw 'Raven's Touch', directed by Marina Rice Bader and Dreya Weber, the latter of which also portrays the title character of Raven. The premise is that a mother, Kate, and her two adopted children Maya and Jack, are retreating into the backwoods to escape from Kate's manipulative girlfriend Angela. Out in the country, they soon meet Raven, a woman with great knowledge of nature who carries with her a tragic memory.
This is a fine premise. However, I did not care for this movie at all. I see it's gotten quite a lot of positive reviews, with critics praising the subtlety of the romantic chemistry between Kate and Raven, or the setting in the woods and Kate's interaction with the environment. But I was completely taken out of it by the stiff dialogue and the overacting throughout much of the movie. This was easily my least favourite film I watched all year, and I'm tempted to say it was objectively the worst. (It is a 2015 film, though)
Take my dreams, childish and weak at the seams
Please don't analyze, please just be there for me

Oh. Yeah, if you only had access to that one film, then I gotcha.

But the two that I mentioned are a lot better. So if you ever get a chance, try to watch them.

By the way, Elrey channel is having a Planet of the Apes marathon all day and night. If you missed them this afternoon, they're playing them again tonight. I jave them set to record so I can watch them at my leisure.

Went to see Atomic Blonde today and enjoyed it. Charlize Theron made for quite the kick-ass action heroine.
