I'd be good with EITHER of those.

    Um, okay.

If only given those two, then Tom Hardy.
    Soth!

Either is good. They need someone with name recognition who isn't too old

Don't care for Cumberbatch too much honestly, but he would help get the female audience in the seats for this film going by his following. Not familiar with Hardy but I find it easier to visualize him as Strange going off of looks.

The Marvel films have a pretty diverse audience. You don't have to throw popular male actors at us to get us in the theater, we're already there.

I like both of these actors but I'm not really seeing them in this role. I think my favorite fancast I've seen so far is Oded Fehr. I think he'd be really good as Doctor Strange.

Well I'd say I'd prefer an older actor who fit the age of the character better like a Gary Oldman or the guy who plays Petyr Baelish on "Game of Thrones" (though mostly because he has the hair for it), but I think his age is why he never caught on as a solo act. People see those white streaks and think "too old". I think that's what led to Hal Jordan being replaced, and why they eliminated them with the reboot. Danged ageist comic fans!

I'll just put pictures of Oded Fehr until everyone agrees that he's the best choice =D

If it's a choice between these two, than I'd prefer that Cumberbatch get it. However, my preferred choice to play Strange is Viggo Mortensen.

I like Tom Hardy but he's too young.

Please, anyone but Cumberbatch. Hardy would be great. They need a young guy to play through multiple movies hopefully.

Totally agree. I'd never considered Mortensen before, but he'd be perfect! Nice call!
