But he wasn't Hillary or Obama, and that's all they cared about.

McCain’s Surgery May Be More Serious Than Thought

It looks like McCain may be unable to work for longer than initially thought. The condition for which Senator John McCain had surgery on Friday may be more serious than initial descriptions have implied, and it may delay his return to Washington by at least a week or two, medical experts said on Sunday.
If that's the case, then how much longer can Turtle Boy sit on the Trumpcare bill without a vote?

Those supporters are getting more and more sway, it feels.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Far Left and the Far Right end up together in a third party.

Even Trump's favorite legal guy, Andrew Napolitano, has turned on him.

More radical than the actual Republicans? That's scary.

No love for Trumpcare, but I do hope McCain recovers fully. I have a feeling that, after his current term ends, McCain might retire from Congress.

True....but I think they would have found a way to dirty up Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden too if they needed to. They would just drag up the usual NRA propaganda for one thing. Trump added an extra flavor with the Wall. I have relatives that live out in the SW and that's what got them on board.

Exactly. Those dimwits knew all about Trump and his litany of transgressions that made him unfit for office, but they didn't care for that very reason. I've said this before too: If Osama bin Laden were still alive and was the Republican candidate for president, those very same dolts would've voted for him over Hillary. Of that, I have ZERO doubt.

Sanders would've been manna from heaven for the Republican mudslinging machine which would've ranted and railed incessantly about his socialist views that the GOP would've equated to communism. As for Biden, the trite and easy GOP spin against him is that a vote for Joe would've been a vote to continue the so-called "failed" policies of Barack Obama, yadda yadda yadda.

I do not agree that they would elect Osama, but totally get your point about them wanting anything other then Hilary consequences be damned as long as it not her. That is the big problem with democracy people are constantly giving power to weak, corrupt and selfish rulers and in this case voting against their best interests out of spite. Do not know what happened to them well Obama was in office, but whatever it was they are still angry about it.

I'll tell you what made them angry about Obama----HE WAS BLACK. Period. Full stop. End of story.

Obama had their guns taken away!! Oh, no that's right. The NRA lied about that.

The economy was pulled out of the toilet, unemployment has been declining for years now. IMO one thing you can bring up is how things were handled in the Middle East. But I think that's been almost every president's anchor around their neck. We've been in Afghanistan 16 years now with no end in site.

Did the recovery lift everyone out of their personal financial distress? No....You're going to find pockets where it didn't . We have to make sure that we don't lose the programs that help. The one thing that people grabbed onto the most was about Trump rescuing jobs that left the country decades ago. On that point he was correct. But it remains to be seen if it is even possible that those jobs would return.

I'm sure it varies, but I feel like it's more that while certain things/areas were improved by Obama after the devastation of the Bush years, other areas did not (or had not yet) reaped the same benefits or recovery. So a feeling of neglect or being ignored or whatever was fostered.

Edit: Or, see above what Iron Maiden said.

Though with the nuance that Trump pretty much lied about the return of certain industries. Some things are just not coming back, and it's not the fault of any one politician or political party.

The Middle East has been a clusterfuck literally since the Last Supper. What are the leaders of some upstart country like the U.S. which has only been around a couple hundred years supposed to do about ending that intractable mess? For Trump to boast that he can bring peace to that region when he can't even solve divisions in the country he was elected (by the Electoral College) is a first class folly borne of arrogance and ignorance. As for Afghanistan, don't get me started on that quagmire.

I love the they want to take our guns people, but as mentioned by Punisher him being black did automatically make him a failure to some percentage of America. Personally my life improved job wise under Obama. These people are way to bitter and angry over Clinton and Obama that they are willing to ignore this train wreck and this includes the elected republicans who are still supporting this nonsense.
