I was listening to the hearing and Ted Cruz mentioned that.
And Republicans supported Merrick Garland until Obama nominated him for SCOTUS.

Ukrainian prosecutors receive no response from U.S. to requests to question Manafort

Ukrainian prosecutors have made seven separate appeals over the past two years for help in questioning President Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort in connection with a corruption investigation, and the U.S. has not responded to those requests, CNN has reported.

According to CNN, the prosecutors in Kyiv sent requests, including letters to FBI Director James Comey and U.S. Justice Department officials.

"Ukrainian officials said the U.S. has not responded to those requests," CNN said.

U.S. authorities confirmed to CNN that the requests were received but declined further comment.

As reported, in August 2016 the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) confirmed that the name of Manafort was among the persons in the so-called "black ledger" of the Party of Regions. Manafort quitted the Trump campaign after the scandal.

So, the current US Government is protecting Manafort...

This is starting to become a noose around their necks.

So what is the plan here? do the same the Republicans did until the 2018 elections? when does the cycle ends?

Also ST here is the video Where Cruz talk about Gorsuch and makes mention of the attack to him because he doesnt defend the little guy.

Interesting to hear, basically he says a judge doesnt defend the little guy or the big guy but instead to defend the constitution for everyone.

I think this is the dilemma the Democrats find themselves in. They can't just meekly go along with the Republicans, yet they don't want to set a bad precedent and create a vicious cycle.

Tillerson to skip NATO meet, visit Russia: report

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will not attend the April 5-6 meeting of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) foreign ministers, according to a new report.

Tillerson will instead stay in the U.S. to be on hand for a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping, before traveling to Russia the following week, Reuters said Monday.

Reuters said it exclusively confirmed Tillerson’s expected schedule with four current and former U.S. officials.
Consider Trump's attitude towards NATO, then consider this.

Trevor Noah makes a good point, the real president isn't Trump. It's Fox News.

I think the plan should be to resist what's morally objectionable about what's brought up legislatively and work together on what's not partisan for the country, which is what the minority party should ALWAYS do.

As for Judges, I strongly disagree. They are there to see Justice is done and the law is served according to the constitution. One does not exclude the other.

If Trump's current supreme court nomination fails, he'll probably nominate that judge that made the absurd wiretapping claims on FOX that Trump won't let go of.

I suspect he'd nominate Judge Reinhold before anyone could tell him anything different.

He does have that Hate-On for Mutants after all, so he would fit the whole "Must be This Rich/Bigoted to Ride" vibe of the current administration.

Well, at least now they don't think they need to hide. We know exactly who they are now, and when it becomes necessary for them to hide again, they'll have a harder time doing it. We will remember who they are.
