Sara Ballantine will always have a special place in my heart, as will '94 MJ as a whole, since that was where I was first introduced to the character .
But Vanessa Marshall was awesome as MJ, and her rendition of "Face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot" was really memorable .
A shame that Spectacular was cancelled before they could really dive into her character development and her relationship with Peter like in the comics.
I like Tara Strong, and I think in the right circumstances she could be a great MJ, it's just too bad the show barely uses her or gives Ms. Strong much to work with .
The spider is always on the hunt.
Pretty much Frontier's thoughts. And Huntsman Spider perfectly explained the biggest reason I hate the USM cartoon. Sadly, in this Age of Avengers, I see Peter's iconic supporting cast being increasingly marginalized, especially in adaptations, to make room for "Spidey as the greenest Avenger recruit" or "Spidey and his Avenger buddies" plotlines. Which is one reason my expectations for the new film are subdued, to say the least.
Even in the comics writers don't really know what to do with the supporting cast now. MJ, being the most popular supporting character, at least was deemed deserving of a Bendis save.
"You'll never learn to fly now 'til you're standing at the cliff."
Vanessa Marshall is my favorite. But perhaps I'm a bit biased since I just love her voice in general. And yes, her delivery of the "Face it Tiger," line was brilliant.
