I really am intrigued by this concept he's bringing. Don't know anything about the artist but that cover looks good. They're certainly finding new takes on the mythos.

This really has an odd(in a good way) anime/manga Mecha feel to it, something close to Pacific Rim, and honestly it looks really amazing. If I'm excited for anything with Edge of Spider-verse is that it's still Spiderman but you can do anything you want to with it.

By the way, it would be awesome if Gerard Way got more work at Marvel, even if only for a mini-series, because he is a very talented writer from a lot of what I've seen.

This sounds pretty cool. Love the art and the Pacific Rim vibe. Can't wait for Way to get back to Umbrella Academy though.
    How about Alex?

Crazy idea. Definitely made me think of Pacific Rim in a good kinda way.

OK, this sounds like a great idea. Inventive visuals and indie-level writer and artist getting a shot here.

Nice. I'm on board (just not for the latour issues, lol)

As someone who's watch his fair share of mecha anime I hope this will be a little more interesting than just Spider-Man mixed with Evangelion.

I thought you would be all over an indie rocker version of Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman.

Yeah I thought this seemed a LOT like Evangelion from the pitch, like borderline ripoff level similarities.

You just made me want to read it even more. Spider-Man Meets Evangelion sounds positively bad@$$. Will we be getting a Berserk EVA-01 moment?
The spider is always on the hunt.
