Yeah, Beast explained that the poisoning affects each mutant exposed in distinctly unique and different ways. Therefore, he wasn't able to create a universal cure or treatment because he would need to develop an antidote unique to each individual -- which time and resource just did not permit.

I enjoyed today's issue. The tense conversation between Roberto and Steve was excellent, loved seeing more interaction between Aikku and Toni, got to see more of Cannonball, and it looks like someone might end up being a traitor...spoilers:
    Red Hulk

Very nice prelude to what's to come

That preview has me psyche'd. Can't wait to see how it is when I get to my shop later. I love how Roberto's gears are already turning in question of Steve in that preview.

Damn if that wasn't an amazing issue. I really dislike the concept of Hydra!Cap but Ewing worked Steve's monstrous voice into the story perfectly.

    As for Maverick
    spoilers:
It doesn't seem so much that he'll be a traitor as it seems HYDRA is going to use him somehow, probably even bypass his Red Hulk measures and put in some kind of trap for their advantage. There's no signs he's willing to turn on the team so much as he finds some of their rules stupid, particularly in that it endangers his life as we saw (though given the system has a timer that's more on him). And Cap doesn't have a fond look of him so I can't imagine him trying to turn Maverick to his cause.
    end of spoilers

The moment between Aikku and Toni's great. Certainly seems like much like Tony, Toni's a workaholic. And it's interesting to see Aikku around more. They've in a way switched their roles from New Avengers. Now it's Aikku trying to help Toni get out of her shell. :P

I know I'm probably meant to focus on Cannonball in that bit but spoilers:
I adore Isabel/Smasher so much so I'm overjoyed seeing her again. Hickman never really develped her (or Cannonball) so it was nice seeing the two together.
    end of spoilers

Yes, this Reader can't wait until the SE Tie-In for the USAVENGERS Series {Issue #6} be released soon.......especially after seeing both Maverick/Rulk & Squirrel Girl appearing within the SECRET EMPIRE FCBD Issue.

Still salty that the Fun Avengers will be butchered because of crossover event
“If you want to really see a road map of where our movies will be (going) in the next five, 10 or 20 years, read the comics,” says Joe Quesada, Marvel’s chief creative officer. “Because they’re almost always a precursor to what’s on the horizon in our cinematic universe and our television universes.”

Iron Patriot was on the same page as Enigma as well. Without her helmet for some reason.

Ewing being a big fan of the Justice League International makes a lot of sense.

Although it's another SE Tie-in; still USAVENGERS #8 gives off some incredible drama; as this Issue not only goes more into Toni Ho's past and her special connection to Tony Stark/Iron Man, but also continues Doreen & Aikku's adventure during SECRET EMPIRE.

You know what could be fun? A Toni and Riri team up. And Stark could be the chaperone.

I read today's issue and thought it was really solid. Solid writing from Al and Paco Medina's art is still on point. Normally I don't like event tie ins, but the quality and fun factor is so high with this title. I have non idea if there are plans to continue this series into next year, but a certainly hope so.
