Mets only said that because he didn't like the marriage

Huh. While I understand that features a widower Spider-Man (and that the exacts of Mary Jane's death are not exactly very good), I also understood that the story was generally positive to the marriage as was.

Killed her off though didn't it? And for that, Mets will always like it (I'm just ribbing a bit on Mets so obviously don't take it seriously )

I don't get this preview. If the story from Secret Wars is cannon here, why is Sandman back into the bad guys' side? I mean, he joined SHIELD to fight the Regent, and there was rumours about his demise after the last issue or something. So, what's wrong here?

It's been said in the interviews before the series started that the battle with Regent occurred differently than the one in Secret Wars.

If developments in the Spider-Man Unlimited game are also to be taken as canon, the RYV from Secret Wars is also an entirely separate canon from the one seen in the current ongoing.

There's also the possibility that Secret Wars altered the timeline when the RYV universe was duct-taped onto Battleworld, but the timeline was fixed and restored to it's correct settings after Battleworld was erased and the RYV universe was sent on it's merry way.

In any event, Gerry Conway specifically chose to write the followup series as a very broad strokes/reboot of the original miniseries.

    I got that.

But I figured I had to back up what I was saying.

If you knew I was just ribbing you than why did you ''figure'' that you had to back up anything? LOL.

Yeah. This is actually a brand new RYV Universe.

This isn't the secret wars universe anylonger. It's a brand new one with some similarities to the Secret Wars Universe.

Pretty much Gerry pretty much took the peices that he liked and were essential in the original RYV and then created his own brand new Universe.

In the SecretWars one, everyone died. In Gerry RYV, heroes are still alive and probably none had died during Regent's takeover. Why do I say this? The X-Men were the first heroes to be killed in the Secret Wars RYV, which is why Regent defeated the Avengers so quickly.

We have no clue how the Regent story went in this one and I believe Gerry is still figuring that one out as well. He's just building the world in the way he sees fit and then will go back and tell us the history that brought us here.
