If this is all just Marvel making fun of themselves for a very bad story...then the "joke" is getting old. These kind of call backs are telegraphing and not "jokes"...you don't keep reopening a bad wound as a "joke" when it can potentially lead to the loss of more fans who will see it as in bad taste. Marvel...you either need to address OMD and resolve it or shut up already!!! And if OMD is just being used as a sales gimmick and nothing more...your company is just doing more damage to itself in the long run. It is not funny at all to have this kind of thing "teased" to the fans over and over again and then not deliver!

Lame fourth wall breaking joke. I was thinking about reading this book again, not anymore.

"Too soon" would be roughly one week after OMD. This is ten years later and in a book which has made callbacks to OMD and Peter dealing with demonic entities one of it's chief storytelling priorities, it feels very right at this juncture.

It also could be a strong indicator that these story elements will continue after Kelly departs the book...that it's not exclusive to just ideas he's been having, and that could be of importance.

    Thumbs up

Um okay, I didn't find it that clever a joke but to each his own.

Fair enough if it makes sense for the series, but let's just say they're making light of something that's a sore point for me, so I don't find it very funny.

Well in this week's Spidey/Deadpool, Mephisto turns up to conduct the marriage ceremoney of Dracula and Shiklah, making mention that he normally undoes this kind of thing but that this union interests him...Peter's confused, but Wade just laughs

I did find that amusing. Along with the fact, Deadpool got the joke but Peter was clueless.

I hate deadpool so much when hes involved with spidey, hes like a parody of him that has no charm or even cleverness to him.

No, he's right. It's still too soon.
