That comic run as Winter Soldier inspired an entire movie and now is a critical piece of a billion dollar empire. The Red Hood cartoon movie is excellent, but no one is begging for a Red Hood movie or even Jason to part of this new DCE. People want to see either Batgirl or Nightwing.

Yeah, he's not the one bat character people have been begging for all over social media at all.

And the difference between Jason and Bucky is that while Bucky's popularity keep falling, Jason's popularity keep raising.

Still Bucky IMO. He hasn't been as consistent but his run with Brubaker is still >>>>>

And he's become a household name with the MCU

Except most Wally fans don't give a fig about Barry.

I am fan of Jason before my begin of the comics, thanks to Batman: Under Red Hood... but currently I am more happy with him than during the last years..

I remember the batman and robin volume(of Dick and Damian) and... I prefer the Jason of N52/Rebirth with the Outlaws... The previous Red Hood runs inspired the DEFINITIVE RED HOOD AND OUTLAWS. And I am happy as fan of Jason...

No. I am sorry when you mention Red Hood or Jason Todd to casual fans, you didn't get the instant reaction you would with Dick Grayson/Nightwing or Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. Joss Whedon is doing Batgirl and there is a lot of excitement about it. Todd may play a part in the next Batman movie, but that is years from now if it ever happens which it may not.

Failing?! Because of a Gif? Come on! I have seen the line for the actor who plays Winter Soldier, it is long. Bucky is going to be in Black Panther as well. DC can't even get Red Hood right in a video game.

Honestly, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood are all pretty irrelevant to the general public. I don't think they'd be able to tell you the difference in one way or the other. It'll all come down to what WB wants to do. Batgirl is locked because Whedon really wanted to do a movie about her. If he didn't, we wouldn't be getting a Batgirl flick. I hear the developing Nightwing movie is similar in that they asked Chris McKay (director of the Lego Batman movie) which character he'd like to write and direct for and he said Dick. Matt Reeves has total control of the Batman movie so if he wants it to be about Red Hood, he can go in that direction. If not, he can skip it. These things often come down to what the big guns in Hollywood want as opposed to answering to some fan craze.

Only DC character I think had major fan support over the years for a movie was Wonder Woman and she's getting it. Everyone else is just a possibility

Indeed, which is why Red Hood won this poll by landslide. Because people don't know who he is.

The gif has nothing to do with why he is failing. You said no one was begging for him, I proved you wrong.

And there are people who already spoke about the difference between them in the first page, I'm not going to repeat their words.

That`s your opinion and you`re obliged to it but Arkham Knight was mostly well received by gamers, casuals and non casuals. The end.

He`s also just pointing out that what you previously stated is erronous. Not only there`s fandom demand (which is exactly what you pointed the finger at, so to speak) but the current movie line already planted the seeds.

This isn`t a affirmation either way. I can also say "Hey, if Whedon didn`t expressed the desire to direct a Batgirl movie do you think WB would make one?" because I don`t, not really. And yet I`m not here claiming she has no demand since I have no hard data on that.

I do know, because I have a care in searching for it, that Hood has demand, so I can speak on that behalf.

Barry Allen for DC Bucky for Marvel. Jean Grey is crazy popular too, though I'm not sure if what they are doing with her is a revival.

Jason's fanbase is crazy (in size I mean), and much like he was one of the characters most demanded for Injustice 2, from what I can tell, he's also one of the most requested characters for a movie or just an adaptation in the DCEU.

Oh, and of course, there are people like me who don't really want movies with any of these 3.
How is that possible? How can casuals even know about the Red Hood if they don't read comics? They carton movie fans?

How does that pull works when Damian is Nightwing in Injustice? Is like people was voting for Damian twice, also I don't know why vote for a character you know is going to be in the game already.

    Most definitely.

The appeal mostly escapes me, but we can't argue with results.

    Interwebs, artists, gaming..

Not sure I`d say Jean Grey. She was like instantly replaced by her clone that married Scott (like it never really felt the character was truly gone) Her return was a plot point inside other stories, it wasn`t a big story on itself. What more in terms of character and popularity, which is what is about, I think she remained sort of the same. In terms of "revival" I don`t view her as high at all.

At least that`s what I recall.
